1795 Ellen Moore (married name) born. Ellen, wife of Aaron Moore, stone broken, d. Nov 25, 1860, 65y [3]

1797 Sept 12 Adams County divided into 6 townships. Aaron Moore is located in Manchester Township. Aaron Moore appointed Supervisors of Roads. [1]

1798 March 13. Adamsville. Aaron Moore named Assessor for Manchester Twp. [1]

1798 Jun 13. Joseph Lucas Appointed county commissioner. [1]

1800-1803. William Sprigg acted as prosecuting attorney on occasions under Arthur St. Clair Jr.. [1]

1803 before. Captain William Hannah marries Martha Moore. [1]

1803 Oct 20. marriage – Nancy Edwards to John Moore [4]

1804 January 16th. Aaron Moore one of 7 trustees appointed to hold county property in trust for the purpose of laying out a county seat. This board was required to appoint a clerk and
surveyor, and to proceed to lay off lots with convenient streets for the new town to be named West Union, and to make and record a plat for same. Notice of the sale of lots was required to be published for thirty days in the Scioto Gazette, of Chillicothe. The county commissioners were empowered to dispose of county property at Washington. When a number of lot owners reached thirty, they were required to meet and elect a new Board of Trustees to succeed the board appointed by the act. [2]

1804 May 17th. Thursday. A sale is held to dispose of the lots for West Union. Aaron Moore buys lot 105 for $7

1804 May 19th Aaron Moore appears with the other commissioners before the Justice and issues the deeds for town lots sold on the 17th. Hosea Moore, one of the county judges signs the off the sale and the reservation of lots for county use [1]
