  1. I have the children of Caleb Conaway. He was born about 1785 in DE and married Nancy DAVIS, daughter of John DAVIS and Anna FURBEE, before 1810.

    Notes for Caleb CONAWAY
    Census data suggest that Caleb and Nancy had at least six girls and three boys. [11] Another source says they had 10 children, including Freeborn, and that the family came from DE 100 years before, i.e., ca. 1795. [16]

    Notes for Freeborn G. (Child 1)
    Freeborn's will was made 18 AUG 1888 and proved 27 FEB 1901; it names Johannah Conway, wife; Margaret Conway, daughter-in-law (widow of Morgan, deceased son); Luther W. Conway, grandson (son of Morgan, deceased son); witnesses were Ashman Carpenter and Mary J. Carpenter. [17]

    In 1900 Thornton and Elizabeth were living with their daughter Sabina Hill in Marion Co., WV. [26]

    Notes for Joseph S. (Child 9)
    Joseph made his will 25 NOV 1875; it was proved 10 FEB 1876; the only heir was his wife Rebecca J., who was also the executor; witnesses were Lorenzo Davis and John Sanders. [34]

    4. Lyle Corder (Wvlyle at aol dot com), 13 Crestview Terrace, Bridgeport, WV 26330. Corder says they married 16 APR 1815 in Monongalia Co., VA, but this is too late for Nancy to have been the mother of Caleb's older children.
