This indenture made the first day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five between James Pittman Senr and Rachel Pittman his wife of Orange County and State of Indiana of the first part and James Pittman Jun of the County and State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth that the the said James Pittman Sen as well for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he the said James Pittman Sen bears to the said James Pittman Jun his son as for the better maintenance and support of the said James Pittman Jun his son has given granted and conveyed and confirmed to the said James Pittman Jun his heirs and assigns forever all that track or parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Orange aforesaid it being the west half of the north west quarter of section twenty three in Township No One south of Range No One west in the district of lands subject to sale at Vincennes Indiana containing eighty acres be the same more or less together with all the right privilege and appurtenances thereunto belonging and the revisions and profits thereof and all the estate right interest and claim of him the said James Pittman Sen and Rachel Pittman, his wife in and to the same to have and to hold the premises aforesaid with all their appurtenances to the sale and only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said James Pittman Jun his heirs and assigns forever free from all claim of them the said James Pittman Senr and Rachel Pittman his wife or his heirs or any other person or persons claiming from or under him or them or any of them In witness whereof the said James Pittman Senr and Rachel Pittman his wife has hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written,
