feed our secret yearning,

our hearts remain a mystery:

Art in forms of each other,

Silhouettes unseen -

unless you count dreams.

Travel in places we have been

without each other -

unless you count hopes.

Language written, never heard,

voices silent -

unless you count echoes.

Learning everything possible

About one another -

unless you count carnality.

Poetry wrought in desire

of a lover never met -

unless you count cyberia.

History, separate, we have none

together yet -

unless you count tomorrow.
