Virginia – West Virginia Biographies
This page indexes a roster of biographies for West Virginians with a few Western Pennsylvanian, East central ohio and Virginia bios tossed in. All of these are allied families, full of cousins and families whose members touch mine sometimes in several generations, or families who lived and associated closely with my family lines. West Virginians who can trace lineage to the state’s earliest days well know that those early families are usually tightly intertwined with one another. Besides, in hunting for my own ancestors I often come across notes or bios that aren’t “mine” but maybe they’ll help someone.

Thank you so much for your blog info. I’m an 81-yr. old desc. of the Watson-Haymond-Fleming families. You’ve answered many ?, which have perplexed me for ages. The earliest Watson immigrant was William, James’ father, who was in St, Mary’s CO MD by 1650 from where..not been proven! Several Watsons are now trying to resolve this mystery! My grandmother was a Watson & I’ve been “at it” for more than eight yrs. Wonderful to know more about the Lambs.
