This indenture made this 31st January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four by and between Patrick Clelland and Priscilla his wife of the first part and William Boor of the Second part all of the County of Marion and State of Virginia. Witnesseth that they the said Patrick Clelland and Prissella his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold aliened; enfeoffed, and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said William Boor his heirs assigns a certain tract or parcel of Land in the county and state aforesaid situate on Finches Run a branch of Buffalo Creek adjoining lands of Ezekiel Cunningham & William Fetty and bounded as followeth, to wit, Beginning at a Hickory corner to William Fetty and running thence with two lines of the same S10-1/2 W106 poles to a White oak stump thence S8 E26 poles to a White oak thence leaving sd Fettys line S81 W41-1/2 poles to two Beeches on the bank of sd Finches run thence N.66 W18-1/2 poles to a stake in a line of James Robison’s heirs thence N17-1/2 W72-1/2 poles to a stake in a line of Ezekiel Cunningham thence S59 E28-1/2 poles to a Hickory corner to said Cunninghams thence N2 W21 poles to a stone thence S34 E81 poles to a mulberry thence S65 E25 poles to the places of Beginning containing fifty acres by survey lest the same more or less. To have and to hold the above described premises with all the appurtenances as to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said William Boor his heirs and assigns forever and the said Patrick Clelland and Prissilla his wife for themselves their heirs assigns executors and administrators do covenant to and forever defend the title from all persons now claiming or may hereafter claim the same in any manner or form whatsoever, In testimony whereof the said Patrick Clelland and Prissilla his wife have herein signed their names and affixed their seals the day and year above written
